Lindsey + Chris Clarke

We're wishing a happy one year anniversary to Chris and Lindsey Clarke today!

Chris and Lindsey, both from the Jackson area, met through a mutual friend and former college roommate of Lindsey’s. They dated for a couple of years and Chris started the design work, purchased, and held on to her engagement ring and his little secret for more than six months before proposing… what guy can keep that kind of secret for that long?!? On the eve of Lindsey's graduation from Nurse Practitioner school, Chris took Lindsey to Ruth’s Chris for what she thought was only a graduation celebration dinner. As they were leaving dinner, he told her he had booked a room at the Fairview Inn so that they would be closer to graduation the next morning and hopefully not have to deal with as much of the chaotic traffic. Upon arriving at the Fairview Inn, Chris caught Lindsey off guard and romantically proposed. A few months before, Chris had given Lindsey a hot air balloon ride as her birthday gift, but the catch was that she would have to cash in at a later date in the summer following graduation. Convinced he would propose either on the hot air balloon ride or some time around that trip, Lindsey was completely surprised to be engaged at graduation!

After touring multiple venues, the couple ultimately decided the beauty, charm, and sentimental ties they had to the Fairview Inn outweighed other venues and decided to spend their wedding weekend there as well. The Fairview Inn was the location for the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. Lindsey and her mom worked with a florist from Green Oak Florist to design the bouquet’s and floral arrangements for the ceremony and reception in pink and crimson tones with touches of greenery. Following the rehearsal dinner, all of the bridesmaids spent the night together at the Fairview Inn where they were gifted matching pink (Lindsey’s favorite color!) pajamas with champagne flutes printed all over them; the following morning they brunched in these while Molly Gee of Static Salon did hair and make up for the bridal party in their suite. An heirloom shoe clip from the bride’s family was recreated into a hair clip that Molly Gee styled into Lindsey’s up do. Lindsey’s classic white and pink peony with pale pink roses bouquet paired perfectly with her classic full lace gown from Imagination’s Bridal in Brookhaven. The muted taupe toned bridesmaid dresses from Bella Bridesmaid Jackson flattered each of the bridesmaids and the classic style coordinated with all of the other details of the day. The groomsmen wore classic black tuxedo’s with suspenders and bow ties from Men’s Warehouse. The groom gifted each of the groomsmen a customized pilsner glass with a caricature drawing of each groomsmen printed on his glass which they used during photography breaks with Sully Clemmer Photography! Both Sully Clemmer and Arender Films both captured the intimate sunset ceremony and fun reception beautifully. Cakes by Iris provided both the bride and groom’s cake that were displayed in the dining and formal living room of the Fairview Inn. DJ Ricky McCraw kept guests on the dance floor all night. Guests dined on the delectable menu selected by the bride and groom. Following their sparkler exit, the couple spent another evening at the Fairview Inn before departing for their honeymoon!
